The stones are silent But they’re not Listen listen in the spaces Between Old and cold and still Bed them on a cloth you weave And light a fire They wait patient if you will come close Warm hands to smooth the rock Is a blessing of ancient love The oldest kin in a circle tiny Vast The keys of time and earth
